{"id":15798,"date":"2022-05-18T20:09:45","date_gmt":"2022-05-18T18:09:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.transparentedge.eu\/blog\/mujer-en-tecnologia\/"},"modified":"2022-11-25T09:46:07","modified_gmt":"2022-11-25T09:46:07","slug":"mujer-en-tecnologia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.transparentedge.eu\/en\/blog\/mujer-en-tecnologia\/","title":{"rendered":"Women at the edge: mujer en tecnolog\u00eda CDN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La tecnolog\u00eda es ya mucho m\u00e1s que un sector econ\u00f3mico: es el sustrato sobre el que se asienta la econom\u00eda, la base sobre la que se desarrolla la mayor parte de las actividades que contribuyen al PIB de un pa\u00eds en un mundo definido por Internet y marcado por la conectividad. Por eso es tan importante asegurar que nadie queda atr\u00e1s en este \u00e1mbito. Te contamos esto porque solo el 1,6% de las mujeres que trabajan en Espa\u00f1a son especialistas en este \u00e1mbito. Y siete de cada diez empresas espa\u00f1olas con especialistas tecnol\u00f3gicos no cuenta con expertas femeninas en la materia. Transparent Edge Services, por cierto, no est\u00e1 entre esas empresas: s\u00ed tenemos talento femenino tecnol\u00f3gico.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El origen de la infrarrepresentaci\u00f3n de la mujer en tecnolog\u00eda hay que buscarlo en etapas anteriores a la del mercado laboral. Te damos unos datos de un reciente <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontsi.es\/es\/publicaciones\/brecha-digital-de-genero-2022\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">informe<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> del ONTSI, el Observatorio Nacional de Tecnolog\u00eda y Sociedad, que ofrecen una buena visi\u00f3n: en el curso 2020-2021, el conjunto del alumnado universitario se divid\u00eda entre un 43% de hombres y un 57% de mujeres. Sin embargo, en las carreras STEM hubo un 74% de alumnos y un 26% de alumnas. En Inform\u00e1tica, solo el 14% de los estudiantes fueron mujeres.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Conocimiento para mejorar el mundo definido por Internet<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transparent Edge Services<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tenemos el compromiso de hacer del mundo definido por Internet un lugar mejor a trav\u00e9s de la transmisi\u00f3n de nuestro conocimiento. Este prop\u00f3sito y la problem\u00e1tica que te hemos expuesto nos han llevado al dise\u00f1o del programa <\/span><strong>Women at the edge<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, con el que formaremos anualmente a una estudiante de Ingenier\u00eda Inform\u00e1tica en algo en lo que muy pocos pueden formar. Estamos hablando de las redes de entrega de contenido (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transparentedge.eu\/que-es-una-cdn\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CDN<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transparent Edge Services<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> es la \u00fanica empresa espa\u00f1ola con una CDN comercial y en Espa\u00f1a son muy pocas las personas que conocen profundamente y manejan a la perfecci\u00f3n estas infraestructuras tecnol\u00f3gicas esenciales para que Internet funcione bien. Una de esas personas es nuestro CTO, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/diegosuarezgarcia\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diego Su\u00e1rez<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, que ser\u00e1 quien se encargue personalmente de la formaci\u00f3n de la estudiante.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Finalizado el tercer curso de grado y a punto de iniciar el cuarto, esa estudiante pasar\u00e1 los meses de verano con nosotros, tendr\u00e1 a su disposici\u00f3n una bolsa de ayuda al estudio para que complemente su formaci\u00f3n y, posteriormente, contar\u00e1 con Diego para la concepci\u00f3n y el desarrollo de su trabajo fin de grado, que versar\u00e1 sobre alg\u00fan aspecto de la CDN.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Referentes para la mujer en tecnolog\u00eda<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El objetivo es potenciar la visibilidad de la mujer, generar referentes y fomentar su presencia en el sector tecnol\u00f3gico a trav\u00e9s de la especializaci\u00f3n en un \u00e1rea en la que hay muy pocos profesionales formados. La estudiante aprender\u00e1 c\u00f3mo gestionar proyectos con altas necesidades de rendimiento y c\u00f3mo desplegar y gestionar \u00f3ptimamente infraestructura que soporte enormes cantidades de tr\u00e1fico, adem\u00e1s de todas las tecnolog\u00edas actuales de uso de cach\u00e9s. Lo que queremos es que, finalizado el programa, tenga los conocimientos necesarios para poder manejar una CDN tanto en un proveedor como <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transparent Edge Services<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> como en cualquier organizaci\u00f3n que haga uso de una red de entrega de contenido.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En este camino tenemos la suerte de contar con la <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ingenieriainformatica.uniovi.es\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Escuela de Ingenier\u00eda Inform\u00e1tica de la Universidad de Oviedo<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, uno de los centros de formaci\u00f3n con mayor reputaci\u00f3n de Espa\u00f1a. Y esto lo sabemos de primera mano porque buena parte de nuestro equipo t\u00e9cnico, encabezado por nuestro CTO, ha salido de sus aulas.
